WV Citizens for Clean Elections has launched a campaign to alert West Virginia residents that they may have been removed from the state’s voter registration rolls. This initiative comes in response to recent actions by the Secretary of State’s office, which has reportedly removed 400,000 names from voter registration lists since the 2016 general election.
The campaign encourages these individuals to double check their registration status. If they remain eligible to vote, the mailers provide information on how to re-register so they may vote in this year’s elections. A letter was mailed to these individuals the week of August 26. The letter was followed by the postcard below, which began landing in people’s mailboxes September 11.
