Whether you have supported us for a while, or if you are new here, we would like to take the time to re-introduce ourselves.
West Virginia Citizens for Clean Elections was created to increase transparency and accountability in WV elections — with emphasis on advancing reforms that strengthen democracy and working to ensure fairness and impartiality in our courts.
Despite how critical the courts are to our democracy, they often get overlooked. However, with the recent and tragic passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, many people have opened their eyes to how crucial unbiased judicial systems are to our society.
The truth is, when our justice system no longer delivers justice, it is broken. And we are on a mission to reclaim our democracy – because, sadly, our systems are hanging on by a thread.
Here in WV, dark money and special interest groups have successfully influenced judicial elections and appointments to the courts in order to steal power, and without accountability, that will continue to happen time and time again.
That is why WV Citizens for Clean Elections has been behind the scenes pushing back against anti-justice legislation, working to remove the influence of money from politics, and are fighting for a court system that works for everyone.
Will you please donate $10, $25, $50, or whatever you’re able, so that we can continue this work by lobbying our elected officials, organizing our communities, and keeping the public informed on the status of our elections and the functionality of our courts?
We believe in a fair and impartial judiciary, and that starts with ensuring clean elections.
