WV Citizens of Clean Election is in the business of fighting for our state. Just this year alone, we played a role in killing four bills in the WV legislature that would have eroded the independence of our judicial systems, and we promoted bills that would strengthen our democracy.

We are remain ready to play defense, while also working to advance our Pro-Democracy and Anti-Corruption platform, and that has never been more important than in today’s climate. Right now politicians are trying to change the outcome of elections and sow public distrust in our government by spreading unproven claims. When it came to the election, we relentlessly shared information with voters. This was extremely important to us because the pandemic created a host of new challenges that voters had to overcome. From sharing voting options and safety tips to creating candidate surveys to hosting trainings, and more, our team worked hard to ensure that voters had the tools and information they needed to be engaged and informed.

Now, we are already gearing up for the 2021 Legislative Session. But we will need your support to fight back against measures that will hinder our progress towards a government that is transparent, accountable, and responsive to our needs.
