Dear Friends, Partners, & Allies,

Just a friendly reminder about our meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16 from 1PM to 4PM at 1114 Quarrier Street East, Charleston (3rd Floor). A copy of the agenda is pasted below.

We’re excited to let you know that more than 100 letters were sent to the State Election Commission asking them to support increased transparency in West Virginia elections. In addition to your letters, WV Citizens for Clean Elections submitted joint comments with the Campaign Legal Center recommending a number of ways the rule can be strengthened to prevent circumvention of the law and to hold politicians and those who spend money to influence our elections accountable. You can read our comments here.

The Commission meets this Thursday, July 18 at 1PM to consider the public comments received and make its final recommendations to the Legislature. We’ll continue to keep you posted.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at tomorrow’s meeting.

Best,

Julie
