Dear Friends, Partners, & Allies, 

This is just a friendly reminder about our strategy session next week (Tuesday, April 30). We’ll be meeting from 10 AM to 2 PM at 1114 Quarrier Street East, Charleston – 3rd Floor. Carin Schiewe from re:power (formerly Wellstone) will be here to help facilitate.

If you plan to attend and haven’t RSVP’d, please let us know, so we can have enough lunch on hand for everyone. The agenda for the day is outlined below.

Clean Elections Strategy Session Agenda

April 30, 2019 – 10 AM to 2 PM

1114 Quarrier Street East, Charleston, WV (3rd Floor Conference Room)

10:00 – 10:30 AM – Welcome, Introductions, & Agenda Review

10:30 – 11:00 AM – Background, Accomplishments, Opportunities, and Q&A

11:00 AM – Noon – Vision and Goals

  • Given the events and trends we know about at the state level, what’s the best time frame to use when we think about our vision of success?
  • What’s at stake? In terms of outcomes, what are the good and bad scenarios?
  • By January 2020, what’s our vision of success?
  • What are some tangible goals we need to achieve to realize the vision of success?

Noon – Working Lunch (15 minutes to get food)

12:15 – 12:45 PM – Assessment

  • When we look at the political landscape moving toward January, what are some critical dates/and or time frames coming up?
  • Major campaigns moving forward? Who’s involved?
  • What are the themes and issues in the news?
  • What opportunities, challenges, or threats do they present?
  • When we look at our individual and collective capacity, compared against the goals we want to achieve, what are our strengths and weaknesses?

1:00 – 1:30 PM – Strategies & Tactics

  • Given the opportunities and threats we’ve talked about and factoring in our strengths and areas where we need to grow, what are the strategies and tactics we want to focus in on over the next 6 months to accomplish our goals?

1:30 – 2:00 PM – Actions, Resources, Next Steps
