Defending Our Democracy Follow-Up, SCOTUS Town Hall Thursday

Thank you for participating in our Fair Courts 101 workshop on June 18. This is a friendly reminder that we are still interested in your feedback so we can improve future programs. Please take a few minutes to complete our online evaluation here

We also wanted to let you know that this Thursday, July 12 the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, along with former Delegate Clif Moore, will convene a town hall meeting on the Supreme Court vacancy and nomination from 10AM to noon at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 520 Kanawha Blvd. West, Charleston to engage Senators Manchin & Capito make sure they hear from their constituents. It’s imperative we make our voices heard loud and clear. Join the discussion to learn more about the significance of his pick, what’s at stake with the nomination, and the need to come together to defend and expand rights for all.

Our friends at Upshur Indivisible will also be discussing the SCOTUS nomination at their next meeting  on July 19 at 5:30PM at the Upshur County Library in Buckhannon.

As they said, “Now isn’t the time to sit on the sidelines.” We look forward to staying in touch and working together to educate others about the importance of the courts and ensuring that our courts are fair and impartial.

Please reach out if you have information or events you’d like to share with this group and don’t forget to send us your feedback

Sincerely,

Julie
